I want to get a beautiful deskmat.

• height: 50 cm, more doesn’t fit my desk, 40 cm would probably also be fine, but at least 45 would be better to fit everything
• width: about 90 - 100 cm
• design: a pretty mountain scene? maybe stars?
  • there are some designs on Etsy that I like in terms of style

  • but all those Etsy shops use AI to churn out dozens of “designs” and yeet them onto Etsy to spam search results
    • either they openly admit to using AI in their shop or item description
    • or they forget a part of ChatGPT’s reply in the item description, which is a tell
    • also it’s pretty obvious they couldn’t have made all those designs themselves
  • and they’re not even cheap, much more expensive than outside Etsy
  • haven’t found a design I like anywhere else yet
  • if I’m paying a premium anyway, instead commission someone for a design? support an actual human artist instead of an Etsy spammer

• product: if I’m going to use a custom design, I need to find a high-quality printing service
  • high quality print
  • maybe waterproof would be good? to prevent ink stains
  • good mouse usage
  • good arm feel
